Marin County Super. Ct. No. SC142953(A)
RIVERA, J.
Randall Anthony Severdia appeals from the court’s judgment denying his motion for modification of sentence and reaffirming his 25 years to life term. His counsel raises no issues and asks this court for an independent review of the record to determine whether there are any arguable issues. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436.) Defendant was apprised of his right to file a supplemental brief but did not do so.
On December 20, 2006, this court affirmed the judgment entered upon defendant’s guilty plea to evading a peace officer with reckless driving, and his admission of probation ineligibility and three prior strike convictions. (People v. Severdia (A114054) [nonpub. opn.].)
On March 12, 2007, the trial court held a hearing on defendant’s motion for modification of sentence. The court denied the motion and defendant’s request pursuant to People v. Superior Court (Romero) (1996) 13 Cal.4th 497 to strike two prior convictions.
Defendant was represented by counsel. The trial court did not abuse its discretion in denying defendant’s motion and his Romero request. This court has reviewed the entire record and there are no meritorious issues to be argued.
DISPOSITION
The judgment is affirmed.
