ORDER

On order of the Court, the application for leave to appeal the January 18, 2024 judgment of the Court of Appeals is considered, and it is GRANTED. The parties shall address whether this Court's decision in People v Parks, 510 Mich. 225 (2022), applies retroactively to cases that have become final after the expiration of the period for direct review. The time allowed for oral argument shall be 20 minutes for each side. MCR 7.314(B)(1).

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan and the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan are invited to file briefs amicus curiae. Other persons or groups interested in the determination of the issue presented in this case may move the Court for permission to file briefs amicus curiae.

We direct the Clerk to schedule the oral argument in this case for the same future session of the Court when it will hear oral argument in People v Bouie (Docket No. 166232) and People v Czarnecki (Docket No. 166654).
