Opinion

7-24-2003

THE PEOPLE, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. ANDREW PLAYER, Defendant and Appellant.

Andrew Player appeals after his plea of guilty to possession of a controlled substance (Health & Saf., § 11350, subd. (a)). He was granted deferred entry of judgment for a period of 18 months. We appointed counsel to represent him on this appeal.

After examination of the record, counsel filed a "Request for Independent Review of Record Pursuant to People v. Wende" which contained an acknowledgment that she had been unable to find any arguable issues. On January 15, 2003, we advised appellant that he had 30 days within which to personally submit any contentions or issues which he wished us to consider. No response has been received to date.

Pursuant to People v. Mazurette (2001) 24 Cal.4th 789, we are without jurisdiction to consider this appeal.

The appeal is dismissed.
