ORDER
The "motion to compel production of transcripts and for correction of court reporter's certificate" is GRANTED to the extent that, on or before September 8, 2023, court reporter Shellie R. Sanders (CER 7667) shall file transcripts of hearings held on October 3, 2022, October 4, 2022, October 14, 2022, and October 24, 2022, with the trial court; shall provide the transcripts to appellant's attorney in this appeal and to the appellants' attorneys in People v Musico (Court of Appeals Docket No. 364567) and People v Bellar (Court of Appeals Docket No. 364572); and shall file a notice of filing transcripts with this Court. If Shellie R. Sanders (CER 7667) does not comply with the September 8, 2023 deadline set forth in this order, she shall show cause in writing by September 15, 2023, why the missing transcripts have not been filed and to explain why she is not in contempt of this Court for failing to comply with this Court's orders.
Further, on its own motion, pursuant to MCR 7.210(B)(3)(f), this Court orders that court reporter Shellie R. Sanders (CER 7667) is ASSESSED COSTS of $100 as a sanction for her failure to file the transcripts in this appeal in a timely manner. The transcripts were originally due in April 2023, and this Court provided two extensions to file the transcripts; the second extension was to June 27, 2023. Sanders failed to file the transcripts by the extended deadline and she thereafter filed an incorrect notice of filing transcripts on July 17, 2023. In that notice, she misrepresented that the complete transcripts had been filed with the trial court on July 11, 2023. The $100 in assessed costs shall be paid to the Clerk of the Court within 21 days of the Clerk's certification of this order.
A copy of this order shall be furnished to Chief Judge Susan Beebe Jordan of the Fourth Circuit Court, to Judge Thomas Wilson of the Fourth Circuit Court, to Judge Michael J. Klaeren of the Twelfth District Court, and to the State Court Administrative Office.
