MOTION DECISION

An order of this Court having been entered on May 27, 2021 (M-2021-01360) striking the designation of Marianne Karas, Esq., and substituting Steven Feinman, Esq., as assigned counsel to prosecute the appeal taken from a judgment of the Supreme Court, New York County, rendered on or about March 07, 2019,

And defendant having moved to relieve assigned counsel and to substitute retained counsel, Justin Bonus, Esq., as counsel for defendant; to direct assigned counsel to provide retained counsel with copies of all transcripts, trial exhibits and/or discovery in his possession; and to direct the Probation Department to provide a copy of defendant's presentence report, Now, upon reading and filing the papers with respect to the motion, and due deliberation having been had thereon, It is ordered that the motion is granted to the extent of relieving Steven Feinman, Esq. as assigned counsel and denying as unnecessary that branch of the motion seeking to substitute retained counsel on appeal; the motion is otherwise denied.
