On the Court's own motion, the November 9, 2023 show cause hearing against court reporter Shana Payne (CER 8652) is ADJOURNED to November 20, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. On that date, reporter Shana Payne (CER 8652) shall appear in person in the Court of Appeals courtroom at 350 Ottawa N.W. in Grand Rapids, Michigan to explain why the significantly overdue transcripts for this appeal were not filed in accordance with this Court's September 6, 2023 order and to explain why she should not be held in contempt of this Court and assessed additional sanctions for her failure to timely file the transcripts. Additionally, court reporter Shana Payne (CER 8652) is responsible for paying the $250 in sanctions assessed in this Court's October 24, 2023 order by November 14, 2023 or shall face the possibility of the assessment of additional fines and/or an order barring her from transcribing any proceedings in any court of the State of Michigan until the assessed costs have been paid.
