In the exercise of this Court's supervisory authority, the Appellate Court, Fourth District, is directed to vacate its judgment in People v. Kendall, case. No. 4-17-0581 (01/08/2020), affirming the summary dismissal of defendant's post-conviction petition. The appellate court is also directed to order the circuit court to advance defendant's post-conviction petition to the second stage of post-conviction proceedings.
