MEDICINE AND SURGERY, § 26when trial court is more than lenient in matter of punishment inflicted for violation of Medical Practice Act. On prosecution for violation of Medical Practice Act by defendant who, although not licensed as chiropractor, purported to practice chiropractic, held that, in view of People's evidence which was not controverted by any witness for defendant, trial court was more than lenient, on jury's verdict of guilty, in merely fining defendant (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1943, ch. 91, par. 161; Jones Ill. Stats. Ann. 79.25).
