Orders of this Court having been entered July 05, 2017 and February 05, 2019 (M-2452 and M-6003), granting defendant poor person relief with respect to appeals taken from two judgments of the Supreme Court, New York County, rendered on or about February 14, 2017 and November 14, 2018, and assigning the Center For Appellate Litigation as counsel to prosecute said appeals; and an order of this Court having been entered June 11, 2019 (M-2117 and M-2187), substituting Stephen Chu, Esq., predecessor counsel to Caprice R. Jenerson, Esq., Office of the Appellate Defender, as counsel to prosecute the consolidated appeals; and a motion having been made to relieve such counsel, and for related relief,
Now, upon reading and filing the papers with respect to the motion, and due deliberation having been had thereon,
It is ordered that the motion is granted to the extent of striking the designation of Caprice R. Jenerson, Esq., Office of the Appellate Defender, as assigned counsel to prosecute defendant's consolidated appeals and substituting, pursuant to Section 722 of the County Law, Janet E. Sabel, Esq., The Legal Aid Society, 199 Water Street, 5th Floor, New York, New York 10038, Telephone No. 212-577-3688 as such counsel. The poor person relief previously granted is continued, and the perfected consolidated appeal is adjourned to the June 2021 Term of this Court. ENTERED: December 08, 2020
