People of Michigan v. Clyde Jordan

LC No. 93-005473-01-FC

ORDER

Elizabeth L. Gleicher, Chief Judge, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1), orders:

The delayed application for leave to appeal and motion to remand are DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction because appellant failed to file the application within six months of the date of entry forthe March 31, 2021 order as required by MCR 7.205(A)(4)(a). This Court cannot extend the jurisdictional time limits stated in the Court Rules. However, the Court notes that appellant filed a motion to reissue the March 31, 2021 order in the circuit court on or about October 4, 2022, in which he alleges that he never received the March 31,2021 order from the circuit court. Wayne Circuit Court's register of actions does not show that this motion-which was filed over seven months ago-has been adjudicated. The trial court is encouraged to adjudicate that motion as soon as practicable.

The motion to waive fees is GRANTED for this case only.
