People of Michigan v. Michael Christian Hopkins

LC No. 19-005073-01-FH

ORDER

Christopher M. Murray, Judge, acting under MCR 7.211(E)(2), orders:

The motion to extend the time the appeal is held in abeyance is DISMISSED AS MOOT.

The motion to replace the previously-filed appellant's brief and allow the filing of a motion to remand with the brief is GRANTED TO THE EXTENT provided herein. The appellant's brief filed on August 25, 2020, is STRICKEN. The brief filed on August 2, 2021, is retained as the appellant's brief and is supplemented by the brief received on September 16, 2022. The accompanying motion to remand is also accepted for filing. Because the appellant's brief filed on August 25, 2020 has been stricken, the appellee's brief filed on January 12, 2021, in response to the brief is also STRICKEN. The time for filing the appellee's brief under MCR 7.212(A)(2)(a)(ii) in response to the August 2, 2021, and September 16, 2022 briefs will be calculated from the Clerk's certification of this order.
