The petition for review is granted.

The matter is transferred to the Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, Division One, with directions to vacate the October 27, 2021 order dismissing Hoffman's appeal and to show cause why (1) the order is not appealable under the collateral rule doctrine, and (2) the relief sought in the petition for review should not be granted. (Cal. Rules of court, rule 8.528(d).)
