People v. Hatch

Supreme Court of Michigan.
Mar 8, 2016
875 N.W.2d 225 (Mich. 2016)

Opinion

Docket No. 152276. COA No. 321038.

03-08-2016

PEOPLE of the State of Michigan, Plaintiff–Appellee, v. Jeffrey Michael HATCH, Defendant–Appellant.

Order

On order of the Court, the application for leave to appeal the July 14, 2015 judgment of the Court of Appeals is considered and, although the Court of Appeals relied on People v. Herron, 303 Mich.App. 392, 845 N.W.2d 533 (2013), which this Court overruled in People v. Lockridge, 498 Mich. 358, 870 N.W.2d 502 (2015), we are not persuaded that the defendant has established a threshold showing of plain error under Lockridge or that the questions presented should otherwise be reviewed by this Court. The application for leave to appeal is therefore DENIED.
