THE PEOPLE, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. JANAI KIRA HASAN, Defendant and Appellant.
David P. Lampkin, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant. No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.
A jury convicted Janai Kira Hasan (defendant) of being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. (Pen. Code, § 12021, subd. (a)(1).) In bifurcated proceedings, the trial court found that he had suffered a strike prior (Pen. Code, § 667, subds. (b)-(i)) and a prior conviction for which he served a prison term (Pen. Code, § 667.5, subd. (b)). He was sentenced to prison for seven years.
Defendant appealed and upon his request, this court appointed counsel to represent him. Counsel has filed a brief under the authority of People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436 and Anders v. California (1967) 386 U.S. 738 [87 S.Ct. 1396, 18 L.Ed.2d 493], setting forth a statement of the case, a summary of the facts, and requesting this court to undertake a review of the entire record.
We offered defendant an opportunity to file a personal supplemental brief, which he has not done.
We have now concluded our independent review of the record and find no arguable issues.
DISPOSITION
The trial court is directed to amend the abstract of judgment to reflect the fact that defendant was sentenced under the provisions of Penal Code section 667, subdivisions (b)-(i). In all other respects, the judgment is affirmed.
We concur: McKINSTER J., RICHLI J.
