PEOPLE of the State of Michigan, Plaintiff-Appellee, v. Matthew Thomas HARRISON, Defendant-Appellant.


Order

On order of the Court, the motion for immediate consideration is GRANTED. The application for leave to appeal the March 24, 2023 order of the Court of Appeals is considered. We DIRECT the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney to answer the application for leave to appeal within 14 days after the date of this order. In particular, the prosecution shall address whether the trial court provided its reasons for cash bond "on the record" as required by MCR 6.106(E), and whether the currently imposed bond is necessary to "ensure the appearance of the defendant" and "ensure the safety of the public." MCR 6.106(D). The application for leave to appeal remains pending.
