PEOPLE v. HARRIS (KAI)


Withdrawal of counsel allowed by order

Good cause appearing, the application of appointed counsel for permission to withdraw as attorney of record for appellant Kai Harris, filed October 18, 2018, is granted.

The order appointing Conrad Petermann as appellate and habeas corpus/executive clemency counsel of record for appellant Kai Harris, filed June 21, 2012, is hereby vacated.

Wesley A. Van Winkle, in his capacity as the alternative assisting attorney on behalf of appellant Kai Harris, is hereby appointed as interim appellate and habeas corpus/executive clemency counsel of record for appellant Kai Harris.

Conrad Petermann is hereby directed to deliver to alternative assisting attorney Wesley A. Van Winkle, within 30 days from the filing of this order, all appellate and habeas corpus work product, trial files, and all other appellate and habeas corpus materials that he has obtained from appellant Kai Harris or from his trial counsel, experts, investigators, or paralegals, or from any other source.
