Attorney Regulation.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Scott Allen Hanson (Attorney Registration No. 29873) for a period of one year and one day, with conditions upon restatement, effective June 16, 2011. Hanson knowingly violated his duty to diligently represent his clients when he failed to file a lawsuit for over a year and failed to respond to a court's order. He also violated his duty to communicate with his clients regarding their pending litigation and the status of their case. In addition, Hanson engaged in dishonest conduct by making misrepresentations to his clients as to the status of their case and his own handling of the case. His misconduct constitutes grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 1.3, 1.4, and 8.4(c).
