On order of the Court, the applications for leave to appeal from the January 18, 2002 decision of the Court of Appeals are considered and, it appearing to this Court that the cases of People v Cornell (Docket No. 115833), and People v Silver (Docket No. 117024), are pending on appeal before this Court and that the decisions in those cases may resolve issues raised in the present applications for leave to appeal, we ORDER that the applications be held in ABEYANCE pending the decisions in those cases.
