(Santa Barbara County)
A jury convicted Ysidro Pinon Deleon, Jr. of three felony counts of failure to provide for his minor son, J.A., and three felony counts of failure to provide for his minor daughter, A.H. (Pen. Code, § 270.) The six counts spanned the same period, August 1, 2011, to March 31, 2014.
Deleon testified that during the period in question he was injured and unable to find work. The jury rejected the defense.
The trial court suspended sentence and placed Deleon on probation for three years on condition that he serve 360 days in jail. The court ordered him to pay $106,365.64 to the Department of Child Support Services.
We appointed counsel to represent Deleon in this appeal. After counsel's examination of the record, she filed an opening brief raising no issues.
On September 5, 2017, we advised Deleon by mail that he had 30 days within which to personally submit any contentions or issues that he wished to raise on appeal. We received no reply.
We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied that Deleon's attorney has fully complied with her responsibilities and that no arguable issue exists. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 441.) The judgment is affirmed.
