Los Angeles County Super. Ct. No. YA072238.
BOREN, P. J., ASHMANN-GERST, J., CHAVEZ, J.
Onna Shopora Cooper appeals from the judgment entered following his plea of no contest to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon pursuant to Penal Code section 12021, subdivision (a)(1). Appellant admitted a prior felony conviction pursuant to Penal Code section 1170.12, subdivisions (a) through (d). On June 29, 2008, Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff Martin Mercado stopped appellant on a traffic violation. When the officer approached the vehicle he saw appellant hand a gun to his passenger. Appellant was sentenced to 32 months in state prison.
We appointed counsel to represent him on this appeal.
After examination of the record, counsel filed an “Opening Brief” in which no issues were raised.
On July 1, 2009, we advised appellant that he had 30 days within which to personally submit any contentions or issues which he wished us to consider. No response has been received to date.
We have examined the entire record and are satisfied that appellant’s attorney has fully complied with her responsibilities and that no arguable issues exist. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 441.)
The judgment is affirmed.
