Appellant's Request for Hearing on Motion for Stay of Appeal and Limited Remand, filed April 25, 2023, is denied. Appellant's Motion for Stay of Appeal, filed March 24, 2023, is denied. Further, the court is in receipt of appellant's letter dated March 24, 2023, stating an intent to file a supplemental opening brief before oral argument raising claims under the California Racial Justice Act of 2020 (Pen. Code, § 745). While the court reserves the question of whether such claims are cognizable on direct appeal, appellant may file any supplemental brief no later than June 14, 2023. The People may file a response no later than June 28, 2023, and the appellant may file a reply no later than July 5, 2023.
