KELLY, J.

I would remand this case to the Wayne Circuit Court, as successor to the Recorder's Court, for an explanation by the trial judge of the reason why she found defendant had the intent to commit felonious assault with what "appeared to be a gun" when she found no proof beyond a reasonable doubt that "it was . . . a real gun." See People v. Stevens, 409 Mich. 564 (1980).
