(Ventura County)

Anthony Cardona appeals from the judgments entered after: (1) he entered a change of plea in case no. 2017038150 to assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury (Pen. Code, § 245, subd. (a)(4)) and admitted a great bodily injury enhancement (§ 12022.7, subd. (a)) and prior strike allegation (§§ 667, subds. (c)(1) & (e)(1), 1170.12, subds. (a)(1) & (c)(1)); and (2) pled guilty in case 2018025461 to unlawful driving or taking a vehicle (Veh. Code, § 10851, subd. (a)) and driving under the influence (Veh. Code, § 23152, subd. (f)) with prior strike (§§ 667, subds. (c)(1) & (e)(1), 1170.12, subds. (a)(1) & (c)(1)) and out-on-bail enhancements (§ 12022.1, subd. (b)). Appellant was sentenced to six years state prison in case no. 2017038150, and a consecutive 16 months in case no. 2018025461, for a total aggregate sentence of seven years four months state prison. The trial court ordered appellant to pay restitution and various fines, fees, and penalties.

We appointed counsel to represent appellant in this appeal. After counsel's examination of the record, he filed a brief raising no issues. On March 6, 2020, we advised appellant that he had 30 days within which to personally submit any contentions or issues he wished us to consider. No response has been received.

The record reflects that in case no. 2017038150, appellant and two men beat S.P. outside his home after confronting S.P. about payment for a construction job. Appellant hit, punched, and kicked S.P. causing him to suffer a fractured orbital bone and multiple bruises, abrasions, and swelling.

While out on bail in case no. 2017038150, appellant spun out a stolen car on the freeway. (Case No. 2018025461.) Appellant had no driver's license and was under the influence of drugs.

We have reviewed the entire record and are satisfied that appellant's counsel has fully complied with his responsibilities and that no arguable issue exists. (People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 443; People v. Kelly (2006) 40 Cal.4th 106, 126.)

The judgments are affirmed.

NOT TO BE PUBLISHED.
