On November 10, 2020, this court granted defendant and appellant Cardenas's petition for review in this matter, and further action was deferred pending consideration and disposition of a related issue in People v. Lewis, S260598, or pending further order of this court. Submission of additional briefing was deferred pending further order of this court. Our decision in People v. Lewis (2021) 11 Cal.5th 952 became final on August 25, 2021.
Further action is now deferred pending consideration and disposition of a related issue in People v. Curiel, S272238. (See Cal. Rules of Court, rule 8.516.) Submission of additional briefing is deferred pending further order of the court. (See Cal. Rules of Court, rule 8.512(d)(2).)
