People of Michigan v. Louis Martin Campos

LC No. 2021-000024-FC.

ORDER

Michael F. Gadola, Chief Judge Pro Tem, acting under MCR 7.211(E)(2), orders:

The motion to extend time to file appellant's brief is DENIED. Contrary to the indication of the motion this is not the first motion for extension of time to file appellant's brief, and appellant was previously granted a 56-day standard extension. Further, if postjudgment motion proceedings in the trial court have been completed, there is no practice in this Court of granting a standard extension after the 42-day period for filing an appellant's brief under MCR 7.208(B)(5)(a) or MCR 7.208(B)(6) has run. This order is without prejudice to appellant filing a motion to extend time to file appellant's brief based on an assertion of good cause.
