On June 15, 2016, this court granted defendant and appellant Byrd's petition for review in this matter, and further action was deferred pending consideration and disposition of a related issue in People v. DeHoyos, S228230, or pending further order of this court. Submission of additional briefing was deferred pending further order of this court. Our decision in People v. DeHoyos (2018) 4 Cal.5th 594 became final on April 11, 2018.
Further action is now deferred pending consideration and disposition of a related issue in People v. Lara, S243975. Submission of additional briefing pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 8.520, is deferred pending further order of this court.
