Opinion

B161032.

7-14-2003

THE PEOPLE, Plaintiff and Respondent, v. BRUCE LYNN BAKER, Defendant and Appellant.

Lyn A. Woodward, under appointment by the Court of Appeal, for Defendant and Appellant. No appearance for Plaintiff and Respondent.

Bruce Lynn Baker appeals from the judgment entered after he pled no contest to possession of a controlled substance for sale. (Health & Saf. Code, § 11378.)

We appointed counsel to represent Baker for this appeal. After examining the record, counsel filed an opening brief raising no issues and requesting this court to independently examine the record pursuant to People v. Wende (1979) 25 Cal.3d 436, 158 Cal. Rptr. 839, 600 P.2d 1071.

On April 2, 2003, we notified Baker that he had 30 days in which to submit a written brief or letter raising any contentions or arguments he wished us to consider. To date, we have not received any written response from Baker to the notice.

We have examined the entire record and are satisfied that Bakers attorney has fully complied with his responsibilities and that no arguable issues exist. (People v. Wende, supra, 25 Cal.3d at p. 441.)

The judgment is affirmed.

We concur: YEGAN, Acting P.J., and COFFEE, J.
