Ernest PENA, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee

From the 187th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2016CR4227
Honorable Steve Hilbig, Judge Presiding

ORDER

On September 28, 2017, we abated this appeal to the trial to hold an abandonment hearing. A supplemental reporter's record of the hearing has been filed. At the hearing, the trial court found that appellant was indigent. The trial court also found that appellant's appellate attorney had abandoned the appeal and appointed new appellate counsel to represent appellant. We therefore reinstate the appellate deadlines. We ORDER appellant to file his brief on or before November 17, 2017.

Karen Angelini, Justice

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said court on this 18th day of October, 2017.
