In Re: J. Patrick, Inc., Machine, Pump & Fabrication, Melisa A. Patrick and Dale A. Patrick, applying for supervisory writs, 18th Judicial District Court, Parish of West Baton Rouge, No. 104182. BEFORE: WELCH, CRAIN AND HOLDRIDGE, JJ.
WRIT GRANTED IN PART WITH ORDER; DENIED IN PART. Because the district court found Defendants, J. Patrick, Inc., Machine, Pump & Fabrication; Melisa A. Patrick; and Dale A. Patrick, in contempt of court and imposed sanctions against it pursuant to La. Code Civ. P. art. 1471(A), the district court's August 19, 2016 Judgment on Plaintiff's Second Motion for Contempt is a final appealable judgment. La. Code Civ. P. art. 1915. The writ is granted for the limited purpose of remanding this matter to the district court with instructions to grant relator an appeal pursuant to their Notice of Intent to Apply for Writs of Certiorari, which was filed on August 10, 2016. See In Re Howard, 541 So.2d 195, 197 (La. 1989) (per curiam). Additionally, a copy of this Court's order is to be included in the appellate record. Insofar as relator requested a stay in the proceedings, howevever, the writ is denied.
