STIPULATION AND ORDER TO EXTEND BRIEFING SCHEDULE


This is a civil immigration-related petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The Petitioner is at liberty, and the Court has stayed removal pendente lite. Counsel have conferred regarding their work schedules and business travel plans over the next two months. Counsel are in agreement it is appropriate to jointly request an extension of the briefing schedule for this case, as follows. Accordingly,

IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED AND AGREED that Respondents may have an extension of time until January 28, 2003, to file their return to the habeas petition; Petitioner may have until March 3, 2003, to file his optional reply/response papers; and the habeas petition and any related motions may be RE-NOTED for submission on March 7, 2003.

ORDER

The parties having so stipulated, the above is SO ORDERED. The Clerk is directed to send copies of this Order all counsel of record.
