MATTHEW PARRY, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes, Judge

This case was on the Court's June 12, 2023 trial calendar for Buffalo, New York. A key problem was third-party discovery of corroboration of gambling losses.

Petitioner recently reported some progress with third-party discovery and intends to supplement the proposed stipulation of facts with all additional information he receives pursuant to his discovery efforts with the third-party casinos and World Series of Poker.

It is therefore

ORDERED that on or before January 15, 2024 the parties submit decision documents or file a joint status report describing any progress towards settlement or narrowing the issues to be tried.

If the case does not settle by then, the Court will likely add it to the April 9, 2024 Buffalo trial calendar.
