ESTATE OF JEANETTE OTTOVICH, DECEASED, RANDY OTTOVICH, HARVEY OTTOVICH, AND KAREN RAYL, EXECUTORS, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes, Judge

This case was on the Court's October 19, 2015 trial calendar for San Francisco, California. A fight about who should administer the estate delayed a resolution for years. Then the pandemic struck. California Superior Court appointed coadministrators for the estate, who contracted for the sale of real property on which the government has a lien and which would fund the settlement of this case. That sale has then been in escrow for years, and other lienholders came forward.

Respondent reports that they were notified that the property was sold, and there may be clear title to the proceeds finally in sight. They ask to report again in a couple of months so it is therefore

ORDERED that on or before November 1, 2024 the parties shall file a joint status report describing whether the IRS paid, and any other developments that might render this long-running case moot.
