ORDER

Lewis R. Carluzzo Chief Special Trial Judge.

Giving due regard to the representations contained in respondent's (1) Motion to Remand, and (2) motion for continuance, both filed February 7, 2024, it is

ORDERED that both motions are set for hearing at the place shown in the Notice Setting Case for Trial, served January 3, 2024, at a time and date certain of 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. That being so, it is further

ORDERED that respondent's (1) Motion to Remand, and (2) motion for continuance, both filed February 12, 2024, need not be considered and are stricken. It is further

ORDERED that the parties are excused from appearing on Monday, April 22, 2024, as previously directed and otherwise need not comply with the obligations imposed upon them in the Standing Pretrial Order also served January 3, 2024.

The Court is inclined to grant both motions. The hearing will focus on the future actions the parties intend to take to prepare the case for trial, or to resolve the case without the need for one.
