ORDER OF DISBARMENT

Upon consideration of the Disciplinary Board's Report and Recommendation for the Disbarment of Howard J. Gravelle, Jr., the exhibits thereto, the record, and Respondent Gravelle's lack of objection thereto as evidenced by his lack of response, it appears Respondent Gravelle violated Rules 1.1, 1.2(a), 1.3, 1.4(a), 1.4(b), 1.16(d), 3.2, 3.4(e), 8.1(b), 8.4(a), 8.4 (c), and 8.4(d) of the Hawai'i Rules of Professional Conduct when he abandoned his practice and failed to cooperate with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel's investigation of his misconduct. It further appears that Respondent Gravelle has been suspended from the practice of law since April 6, 2006 and has not been reinstated. Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Howard J. Gravelle, Jr. is disbarred from the practice of law in this jurisdiction effective upon entry of this order.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that in addition to any other requirements for reinstatement imposed by our Rules, Respondent Gravelle shall pay any costs of these proceedings as approved upon timely submission of a bill of costs.

IT IS FINALLY ORDERED that Respondent Gravelle shall, within ten (10) days after the date of this order, file with this court an affidavit in full compliance with RSCH 2.16(d).
