In the interest of NIKO C., a person under the age of 17. State of Wisconsin, Petitioner–Respondent, v. Niko C., Respondent–Appellant.

Wis. Stat. § 938.34(15m)(c) (footnote added). This provision is limited by its express language to § 938.34(15m)(am) 1, and, as we have seen, the registration under § 938.34(15m)(bm) is mandatory (“the court shall require the juvenile to comply with the reporting requirements under s. 301.45”) “ unless the court determines, after a hearing on a motion made by the juvenile, that the juvenile is not required to comply.” Section 938.34(15m)(bm) (emphasis added). “[I]n determining whether to stay such an order, a circuit court should consider the seriousness of the offense as well as the factors enumerated in Wis. Stat. §§ 938.34(15m)(c) and 301.45(1m)(e).” Cesar G., 2004 WI 61, ¶ 3, 272 Wis.2d at 25, 682 N.W.2d at 2.
