Opinion

No. 4D00-2573.

July 10, 2002.

Appeal from the Circuit Court for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, Broward County; Marc H. Gold, Judge; L.T. Case No. 98-14253 CF10B.

Carey Haughwout, Public Defender, and lan Seldin, Assistant Public Defender, West Palm Beach, for appellant.

Robert A. Butterworth, Attorney General, Tallahassee, and Georgina Jimenez Orosa, Assistant Attorney General, West Palm Beach, for appellee.

We affirm appellant's conviction and sentence but remand for correction of a scrivener's error. The jury found appellant guilty of simple assault, yet the judgment reflects a conviction for aggravated assault. The court shall correct the judgment on remand.

GUNTHER, WARNER and FARMER, JJ., concur.
