On the basis of this sequence of events, the defendants urge that § 430A should be given retroactive effect so as to invalidate either the original report or its supplement. This argument has previously been raised and rejected in New Canaan Bank Trust Co. v. Cerretani, 26 Conn. App. 929, 600 A.2d 332 (1991) (per curiam). In New Canaan Bank Trust, the attorney trial referee's report was filed on October 3, 1990, more than 120 days after the completion of the trial and two days after Practice Book § 430A became effective.
