NII-OTABIL NELSON, Appellant v. DOREEN E NELSON, Appellee

On Appeal from the 245th District Court Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2006-31097

MEMORANDUM OPINION

This is an appeal from a judgment signed September 30, 2019. On May 22, 2020, appellant filed a brief that was not in compliance with the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure. The brief failed generally to comply with the rules by failing to (1) state concisely all issues presented for review, (2) contain a succinct, clear, and accurate statement of the arguments made in the body of the brief, and (3) contain a clear and concise argument for the contentions made with appropriate citations to authorities and to the record. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.1(f), (h), and (i). On July 2, 2020, we ordered appellant's brief stricken. Appellant was ordered to file a brief that complies with the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure by July 22, 2020. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.1. Appellant was informed that if he failed to timely file a brief in accordance with Rule 38 or filed another brief that did not comply with Rule 38, the appeal would be dismissed for want of prosecution. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(a)(1). On July 13, 2020, appellant filed another brief that, among other deficiencies, contains no citations to the record or to legal authorities. Tex. R. App. P. 38.1(h).

We dismiss the appeal.

PER CURIAM Panel consists of Chief Justice Frost and Justices Zimmerer and Poissant.
