ALEX PERRY NEAL, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 296th Judicial District Court Collin County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 296-81320-2023

ORDER

BONNIE LEE GOLDSTEIN JUSTICE

Before the Court is the July 17, 2024, motion to withdraw as counsel filed by attorney Hunter Biederman. In the motion, Mr. Biederman states he is withdrawing because is adopting the Anders brief filed by appellant's previous counsel, John Helms. However, by order issued May 30, 2024, this Court struck the Anders brief filed by Mr. Helms because Mr. Helms was retained counsel. On July 19, 2024, we denied Mr. Biederman's motion to adopt Mr. Helms's brief, and we ordered Mr. Biederman to file appellant's brief by July 26, 2024. As of the date of this order, Mr. Biederman has not filed appellant's brief.

Mr. Biederman's motion to withdraw as counsel is DENIED.

We ORDER Mr. Biederman to file appellant's brief and a motion for extension of time to file the brief on or before AUGUST 14, 2024.
