ORDER

Lewis R. Carluzzo Chief Special Trial Judge

This case for the redeterminations of deficiencies, presently set for trial during the Dallas, Texas, trial session scheduled to begin in that city on September 9, 2024, is before the Court on a joint motion for continuance, filed August 2, 2024.

Giving due regard to the representations contained in that motion, and taking into account the issues apparently in dispute, it is

ORDERED that the motion is set for hearing at the place shown in the Notice Setting Case for Trial, served April 9, 2024, at a time and date certain of 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. It is further

ORDERED that the parties are excused from appearing in this case on Monday, September 9, 2024, as previously directed and need not comply with the obligations imposed upon them in the Standing Pretrial Order served April 9, 2024.

The Court is inclined to grant the motion. The hearing will focus on the actions the parties intend to take to prepare the case for trial or to resolve it without the need for one.
