ORDER


This is an action for employment discrimination brought against the Permanent Mission of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations (the "Mission") by one of its former employees. The Mission has moved to dismiss the action for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. The motion raises issues under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, 28 U.S.C. § 1602 et seq., the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, Apr. 18, 1961, 23 U.S.T. 3227, 500 U.N.T.S. 95., and the Diplomatic Relations Act of 1978, 22 U.S.C. § 254a-e.

The Court invites the United States Department of State and the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations to express any views it may have on the pending motion. Any such submissions should be received by the Court on or before August 17, 2000.

SO ORDERED.
