Anthony MOORE, Appellant v. Jo Ann MOORE, Appellee

From the County Court, Atascosa County, Texas Trial Court No. 23-04-0279-CVA Honorable Bob Brendel, Judge Presiding

ORDER

PER CURIAM

On May 22, 2024, appellant Anthony Moore filed a notice of appeal from a May 22, 2024 Final Decree of Divorce. Appellant also filed a document entitled "Emergency Motions for Writ of Mandamus and Injunctive Relief Staying Trial Court Judgment and Remove Excessive Supersedeas Bond." Appellant's motion appears to challenge the trial court's May 22, 2024 Order Setting Supersedeas Bond and Temporary Orders Pending Appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 24.4(a).

After consideration, we temporarily STAY the May 22, 2024 Order Setting Supersedeas Bond and Temporary Orders Pending Appeal while we review appellant's challenge to the amount of the supersedeas bond. See Tex. R. App. P. 24.4(c) ("The appellate court may issue any temporary orders necessary to preserve the parties' rights."). We also temporarily STAY the provision of the May 22, 2024 Final Decree of Divorce that requires appellant to pay appellee $20,000 on or before May 29, 2024. See id. Finally, we invite appellee Jo Ann Moore to file a response to appellant's "Emergency Motions for Writ of Mandamus and Injunctive Relief Staying Trial Court Judgment and Remove Excessive Supersedeas Bond." If appellee wishes to file a response to appellant's motion, she may do so by June 12, 2024.

It is so ORDERED.
