SUZANNE MONTES, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes, Judge.

This case was on the Court's September 12, 2021 San Francisco, California trial calendar. It arises from unreported gambling income and a settlement of a lawsuit that Ms. Montes reached with the City of San Francisco. We continued the case to let the parties try to settle. The Commissioner recently reported that the gambling-income issue may still settle, but that taxability of Ms. Montes's settlement seems at an impasse. We spoke with the parties in November, and Ms. Montes agreed with the Commissioner's summary. The parties also agreed that it made sense to move this case onto a pretrial track, so it is

ORDERED that this case is set for trial at the San Francisco, California trial session beginning at 10:00 am on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Burton Federal Bldg. & U.S. Courthouse, 450 Golden Gate Avenue Room 2-1409, San Francisco, CA 94102. This order is the official notice to the parties of this new trial date. It is also

ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall also serve on the parties a copy of the standing pretrial order.
