In the Interest of M.M. a Child v. Department of Family and Protective Services

Trial court: 306th District Court of Galveston County Trial court case number: 15-CP-0001

ORDER

Terry Adams Judge

On June 27, 2024, we notified appellant that appellant's brief was past due. On July 9, 2024, appellant filed "Appellant's Motion For Extension of Time to File Notice of Appeal," which seeks an extension until August 2, 2024. We interpret appellant's motion as a motion for extension of time to file a brief.

Because this is a termination case, the Court is required to bring this appeal to final disposition within 180 days of the date of the notice of appeal was filed so far as reasonably possible. See Tex. R. Jud. Admin. 6.2, reprinted in Tex. Gov't Code tit. 2, subtit. F app. Accordingly, the Court grants the motion for extension with no further extensions absent extraordinary circumstances.

It is so ORDERED
