STEVEN MITCHELL, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee
On Appeal from the 291st Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F23-55585
ORDER
AMANDA L. REICHEK, JUSTICE
The reporter's record is overdue. The reporter's record was originally due July 5, 2024. On July 9, 2024, this Court notified court reporter Sasha Brooks that the reporter's record was overdue and directed her to file the reporter's record within 30 days. On August 19, 2024, this Court ordered Ms. Brooks to file the reporter's record by September 3, 2024. On September 9, 2024, Ms. Brooks filed a request for extension of time to file the reporter's record stating, "I am requesting two weeks to complete the record." We granted the request for extension and ordered Ms. Brooks to file the reporter's record by September 24, 2024. As of the date of this order, the reporter's record has not been filed
We ORDER Ms. Brooks to file the complete reporter's record in this appeal on or before OCTOBER 22, 2024. We caution Ms. Brooks that should she fail to file the complete reporter's record within the time stated, the Court will utilize whatever remedies it has available, which may include ordering that she not sit as a court reporter until she files the complete reporter's record in this appeal.
We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Stephanie Huff, Presiding Judge, 291st Judicial District Court; Sasha Brooks, Official Court Reporter, 291st District Court; Christina O'Neil, Chief Judicial Staff Counsel for the Criminal District Courts, Dallas County; and counsel for all parties.
