County Civil Court at Law No. 4 of Harris County No. 1214966
ORDER
RICHARD HIGHTOWER, JUDGE
The reporter's record was originally due to be filed on March 11, 2024. The court reporter, Jill Bartek, first advised the Court on April 1, 2024 that no reporter's record was taken, but the next day, she amended her information sheet and stated that there was a reporter's record but that appellant had not requested its preparation and filing.
The Court has confirmed that appellant is unable to pay for the reporter's record and that she is therefore not responsible for payment. However, appellant must request the preparation of the reporter's record. Once appellant requests preparation of the reporter's record, the court reporter is responsible for preparing, certifying, and timely filing the reporter's record. See Tex. R. App. P. 35.3(b). If appellant fails to request the filing of the reporter's record, the Court may, after giving appellant notice and a reasonable time to cure, consider and decide those issues that do not require a reporter's record for a decision. See Tex. R. App. P. 37.3(c).
Accordingly, the Court directs appellant to see that a reporter's record is requested and filed within 20 days of the date of this order
It is so ORDERED.
