ORDER
In this accelerated appeal of the trial court's granting of the City's plea to the jurisdiction, Appellant's brief is due on May 1, 2018. On April 18, 2018, Appellant filed an opposed motion to abate this interlocutory appeal. Appellant state the trial court has not yet ruled on Appellant's motion to reconsider its March 8, 2018 order, and Appellant argues that to reduce the costs to the parties and to conserve judicial resources, this court should abate the appeal until the trial court ruled on Appellant's motion to reconsider.
Appellant's motion to abate this appeal is GRANTED. We ABATE this appeal until May 14, 2018, and we REMAND the cause to the trial court until that time. See TEX. CIV. PRAC. & REM. CODE ANN. § 51.014(a)(8), (b) (West Supp. 2018).
We ORDER Appellant to file in this court not later than May 14, 2018, (1) a motion to dismiss the appeal, (2) a motion to reinstate the appeal on this court's docket so the appeal may proceed, or (3) a motion to extend the period of abatement.
If we reinstate the appeal for it to proceed, Appellant's brief will be due twenty days after we reinstate this appeal.
All other appellate deadlines are SUSPENDED pending further order of this court.
