Sec. 51.61(1)(g)4. Whether this statutory standard has been met is a mixed question of fact and law. K.N.K. v. Buhler, 139 Wis.2d 190, 198, 407 N.W.2d 281 (Ct.App.1987). The circuit court's findings of fact will be upheld unless clearly erroneous; whether those facts meet the statutory requirement is a question of law we review de novo. Id. The County must prove the statutory elements by clear and convincing evidence. Melanie L., 349 Wis.2d 148, ¶ 83, 833 N.W.2d 607. Id., ¶ 76 (citation omitted). To enable the person to make an informed choice, the advantages, disadvantages, and alternatives must be adequately explained.
