ORDER
EMIN TORO JUDGE
This case was calendared for trial during the Court's January 24, 2022, Houston, Texas, remote trial session. By Order served January 14, 2022, among other things, the case was stricken from the Court's January 24, 2022, remote trial session, and jurisdiction was retained by the undersigned judge. Since then, respondent has filed multiple status reports.
On September 3, 2024, respondent filed a Status Report (Doc. 140) reporting that the parties are very close to resolving the case. We appreciate the progress the parties have made in coming to a resolution, especially in light of the complexities the case has involved. But, given the age of the case and our upcoming Houston session, we believe that the case should be placed on that calendar so it can be judicially resolved if the parties are unable to get to the finish line on their own. Of course, if the parties are able to submit a proposed stipulated decision before then (as the Status Report suggests is possible), no trial will be necessary.
Upon due consideration, it is hereby
ORDERED that is case is calendared for trial during the Court's December 9, 2024, Houston, Texas, trial session scheduled to take place in Room 7006, 7th Floor, Casey U.S. Courthouse, 515 Rusk Street, Houston, Texas, 77002, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. It is further
ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall serve on the parties: (1) a copy of the Court's Standing Pretrial Order for the December 9, 2024, Houston, Texas, trial session, and (2) a clinic letter for Houston, Texas.
