GLORIA ELENA MELTON, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 2 Kaufman County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 17-80274-CC2-F

ORDER

Before the Court is court reporter Sherry Hooper's May 20, 2020 request for a forty-five day extension of time to file the reporter's record. This is an out of time appeal granted by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. See Ex parte Melton, WR-91,165-01, 2020 WL 2177315, *1 (Tex. Crim. App. May 6, 2020) (not designated for publication). All deadlines are calculated as if appellant was sentenced on the date that the court of criminal appeals' mandate issues. Id. The mandate is set to issue on June 1, 2020; therefore, the reporter's record is due July 31, 2020. See TEX. R. APP. P. 35.2. In light of this, we DENY Ms. Hooper's request for an extension as premature.
